I am writing today as it has been brought to my attention that scammers are using my name, image and my business name to run phishing scams.
Let me start by saying your website is NOT out of compliance with Wix.
Any business email from me, the real Emily Geisler, will always originate from the email address emily@emilygeisler.com
These deceptive emails often contain fake warnings about Wix compliancy, security issues, license verification, or compliance requirements. Their goal is to trick you into revealing sensitive information. I've placed examples below for your reference.
If you have received any of these emails please do not engage and report to Google as a phishing email. If you would like to forward to me to use in my case against please feel free to do so as well.
To help protect yourself, I strongly recommend taking the following steps:
Always scrutinize the sender's email address:
Always check the sender's email address carefully to ensure it truly came from me or an official Wix source. Anything coming from an @gmail.com address is NOT from Wix or myself. Any email from me will always come from emily@emilygeisler.com
Contact me directly at Emily@EmilyGeisler.com or 509-421-1238 if in doubt: If you're ever unsure about an email's legitimacy, please contact me directly before taking any action or clicking on any links.
Do not click or provide information if suspicious: If you've already received such an email, do not click any links or provide any information. Instead, please forward the email to me for review.
The below image looks like it is from me. It is not from me. The following images will show you how you can tell if it is from me or from Gmail.

The below image is NOT from me but looks like it is from me. You can tell because the email ends in @gmail.com

Again, The below image looks like it is from me. It is NOT from me and you can tell because the email ends in @gmail.com

The following Images show what an email from me looks like before you open it and after.
ALWAYS ALWAYS OPEN THE EMAIL TO CHECK THAT THE SENDER ADDRESS ENDS IN @EMILYGEISLER.COM

Further Actions You Can Take
1. Report the Email as Phishing in Gmail
This is the most direct way to alert Google about the malicious email, which helps them detect and block similar scams in the future.
On a Computer:
Open the suspicious message.
Next to the Reply button (usually in the upper right corner of the email), click the three vertical dots (…) for More options.
Click Report phishing.
On the Gmail App (Mobile):
Open the suspicious message.
In the top-right corner of the email, tap the three vertical dots (…).
Tap Report phishing (or Report spam).
2. Forward the Email to Anti-Phishing Organizations
You can forward the email to organizations that track and fight phishing globally.
Forward the email (as an attachment or a regular forward) to the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG):
3. Do NOT Interact with the Email
It is crucial that you do not take any actions requested by the scammers:
DO NOT reply to the email.
DO NOT click on any links or download any attachments.
DO NOT provide any personal, financial, or login information.
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Taking these precautions will help ensure the continued security of your Wix account.
If you have any questions or if you need anything at all please let me know and Be Well!
Kindly,
Emily
